Hey!

 

My name is Shaheen Sharifian and I am an incoming Software Development Engineer at Amazon AWS. I have over two years of development experience, having interned at DraftKings on the Financial Operations team, and most recently at Amazon, on the Identity and Security Department. 

As I make my transition from my academic to professional career, I have worked hard to gain a wide medley of technical and personal skills through my internships, self-learning, and coursework. Through my coursework at the University of Washington, I have gained a full-stack skill-set that ranges from operating various DBMS services (SQL, MongoDB, Redis), to server-side technology (Java, Go, Python, C, C#), and to front-end technology (Javascript/Typescript, React.js, Node.js, php). On top of this, I have also been well versed in software-engineering practices and tools, being fluent in git source control, Docker, bash scripting, etc. 

I am very passionate about software development, as it allows me to sit at the intersection between people and technology!
